Neil ArmStrong His Life and his Candidature for the Universe.
NEIL ALDEN ARMSTRONG ( 5th August 1930- 25th August 2012 ) was the first
person who walked on
the moon, was an American astronaut,test pilot,an Aerospace engineer,
University professor.
United States Naval aviator. He was a graduate from Purdue University
and the University of California. Before becoming an astronaut he served in the
Korean War as a Navy officer.After the War he joined the Dryden Flight Research
Centre (once known as Aeronautics High -Speed Flight Station ).
In 1962 he joined in the NASA Astronauts corps .His first
spaceflight was GEMINI 8 MISSION in1966.
as the command pilot and in the second and last space flight of
APOLLO moon landing in July 1969 as the
mission commander.Armstrong was awarded the Presidential Medal of freedom by
the President
Richard Nixon.with his colleagues Collins and Aldrin, the
Congressional Space Medal of Honour by
President Jimmy Carter in 1978.the Congressional Gold Medal in 2009.
A history creator's life comes to an end On 25th August 2012 he was died at
the age of 82 due to
complications
blocked coronary arteries.
